Question 1

Is Looties a real Leboncoin alternative for tech merch?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for tech swag specifically. Leboncoin is the French default for general second-hand: cars, furniture, clothes, everything. That breadth is its strength and, for tech merch, its weakness. A GitHub hoodie or a Stripe sticker pack disappears among millions of unrelated listings. Looties is a marketplace where developers and tech enthusiasts buy and sell conference swag, limited-edition merch, and developer gear, so the catalog is dense with exactly what those buyers came for.

Question 2

Does Looties ship across France and the EU like Leboncoin?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Looties supports shipping from sellers in Europe (France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Spain, Italy, Ireland, the UK) to buyers in those countries, in Switzerland, and in the US. Labels are generated at checkout, no separate carrier setup.

Question 3

How are fees structured on Looties compared to Leboncoin?

Accepted Answer

Looties is free to list. A flat service fee is added at checkout (paid by the buyer) and includes Buyer Protection on every order. See the full breakdown on the pricing page.

Question 4

What works better on Looties than on Leboncoin for the French tech community?

Accepted Answer

Conference hoodies, sticker packs, onboarding kits, lanyards, mugs, plushies, and limited-edition merch from companies like Microsoft, GitHub, MongoDB, Baseten, Pruna AI, and Together AI. French-speaking developers and tech enthusiasts can browse Looties (looties.fr) in French and find tech-branded items priced and described by people who recognize them.
