Content & Social
Looties is the marketplace for the tech world. We are building the place where tech culture gets collected, discovered and traded, from OpenAI and Anthropic merch to conference swag, limited editions and weird pieces of internet history.
We are looking for someone to help us turn all of that into content people actually want to watch.
You will take ownership of short-form social content at Looties. This is a hands-on, video-first role, primarily focused on Instagram and YouTube. LinkedIn and X exist, but they are not the priority here.
You will create Reels and Shorts, react quickly to trends and tech news, experiment with generative AI and UGC avatars, and find creative ways to tell stories around Looties, tech culture and the internet.
No 40-slide social media strategies. Make things, publish them, understand what works, turn the winners into repeatable formats.
You will imagine, shoot and produce Reels, Shorts and other social-native formats. That could mean:
From idea to hook to creation to publication to analysis. There is deliberately no mandatory editing software. CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci, Final Cut or something else entirely: use whatever makes you fast and good.
A good edit will not save a bad hook. You will experiment with the mechanics that make short-form work: visual hooks, verbal hooks, curiosity gaps, pattern interrupts, strong opinions, questions, storytelling, before and after, unexpected facts, social proof, open loops and trend-driven hooks.
We expect you to understand, or to be genuinely obsessed with learning, why someone stops on one Reel and scrolls past another. Part of the job is testing different hooks on similar ideas, reading the results, and progressively documenting what works for Looties.
Part of the job is simply being online and noticing things. When something happens in tech or internet culture, the question is whether Looties can do something with it.
Instagram suddenly launches a new logo. Instead of discussing it for three days and adding it to next month's content calendar, you find the Looties angle, create something and publish it while people still care. Speed and cultural awareness matter.
The internship only lasts two months, so we are not interested in spending eight weeks experimenting with AI avatars just because they are new. We want to find UGC avatar formats that actually perform.
You will experiment with AI-powered UGC avatars for product presentations, reactions, explainers, storytelling, unboxings or recurring characters. Test different avatars, different hooks, different scripts, different formats. Then look at the data.
The objective is to identify one or several avatar-based formats that generate engagement and can keep running after the internship ends. The challenge is also to avoid generic AI slop: the content still needs to feel native, interesting and credible enough for Instagram and YouTube. If we find something that works, your job is to document and template the workflow so we can reproduce it.
Generative AI is already part of our creative workflow, and you will be encouraged to push it further. Our current stack includes:
And probably several new tools we will discover during your internship. We are not looking for someone who already knows every tool. We are looking for someone who gets excited about trying the next one, while staying honest about whether it actually improved the content.
Your main playground is Instagram first and YouTube second. You will publish content, interact with the community, identify what generates reactions and gradually develop formats people recognise as Looties.
LinkedIn and X can occasionally be used when relevant, but they are not the core focus of the internship.
Looties regularly intersects with the startup and tech ecosystem, so there may be opportunities to take part in events, conferences or other activations. You might capture content, interview someone, document what is happening or find stories worth sharing.
This is not an event-planning role. You will not be expected to organise events.
At the end of the two months, we will evaluate the internship around two very simple questions.
Views matter, but they are not enough. We are especially interested in whether people react, comment, share, save, subscribe and interact with Looties because of the content you created.
Your first mission is to experiment quickly enough that, after two months, we understand much better what makes people engage with Looties content.
We do not want two months of content to disappear into a feed when the internship ends. Your second mission is to turn what works into a Looties Social Media Playbook, documenting:
By the end of the internship, another person should be able to pick up that playbook and understand how Looties creates social content that generates engagement.
Create, test, measure, learn, template, repeat.
You do not need five years of experience. It is an internship. But you should:
You do not need to be a professional filmmaker.
You need taste, curiosity, speed, an understanding of internet culture and a strong instinct for what makes someone stop scrolling.
You will work directly with the founder, with a lot of freedom to experiment.
Looties is still very early. There are no layers of approval and no established social media machine to execute. That is precisely the point of the internship: help build it.
You will have two months to experiment with formats, use some of the newest creative AI tools, understand what generates engagement and leave behind a social media system that can keep running after you.
And you will have a fairly unusual creative playground: tech culture, AI, startups, rare merch, conferences and internet culture.
How to apply
A Reel. A Short. An unboxing. A meme account. An edit. A weird AI experiment. A personal project nobody asked for. We care far more about that than about how your CV is formatted.
